John Main Seminar in CHICAGO in 2014!!!
2013 – 2014
In the first half of 2013, our special events focused on the Chicago conference, New Thinking for a New Era, with Fr. Laurence Freeman and Fr. Richard R0hr. THE AUDIO OF THE CONFERENCE CAN NOW BE OBTAINED HERE: MEDITATIO . The conference was preceded and followed by visits Fr. Laurence made to our groups and centers in California and Minnesota, in New York City, Washington D.C. and Virginia, Florida and Texas.
For the second half of the year we have concentrated on a wonderful new initiative, co-sponsored by Meditatio, the outreach of the World Community for Christian Meditation, a Forum on Teaching Meditation to Children, presented in different locations around the U.S. Each locale featured presentations by Dr. Cathy Day, the Director of Townsville Catholic Education Office in Queensland, Australia and Ernie Christie, the Deputy Director, both of whom have earned international acclaim for their pioneering work in introducing meditation to children and teachers. Please see our Meditation with Children page for further information.
